Our Progress & Impact FY'25

SDG 4: Quality Education

We believe that education is the foundation for driving sustainable change. Our goal is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and networks needed to lead the future of sustainable business. Through case competitions, speaker series, and hands-on workshops, we provide real-world learning opportunities that go beyond the classroom.

2026 Targets
  • Host 5+ sustainability-focused events per year featuring industry leaders.

  • Provide 250+ students with mentorship opportunities in sustainable business careers.

  • Host a hands-on sustainability case competition, where students create real-world business solutions and receive feedback from industry experts

FY'25 Highlights
  • Hosted 3 sustainability-focused events per year featuring 8 industry leaders.

  • Provided 200+ students with mentorship opportunities in sustainable business careers.

  • Hosted the "Greenovation Challenge" - a hands-on sustainability case competition, where students create real-world business solutions and receive feedback from industry experts

SDG 5: Gender Equality

We believe that sustainability in business starts with inclusivity. Our club is committed to breaking down barriers for women in leadership. Through networking events, case competitions, and speaker series, we create spaces where women can thrive in the sustainability sector.

2026 Targets
  • Ensure 50%+ representation of women in leadership roles within our club.

  • Partner with 2+ organizations that empower women in business and sustainability.

  • Increase female participation in events and competitions by 10%.

FY'25 Highlights
  • 70% of event speakers were women, ensuring diverse voices in sustainability conversations.

  • Maintained 60%+ representation of women in leadership roles, ensuring strong female leadership in driving sustainability initiatives.

  • 61% of event and competition participants were female, maintaining strong female engagement across our initiatives.

SDG 8: Decent Work &

             Economic Growth

Sustainability and economic growth go hand in hand. We are committed to preparing students for careers where they can drive positive change while supporting responsible business growth. By connecting students with industry professionals and real-world projects, we help shape future leaders in sustainable finance, circular economy, and ethical investing.

2026 Targets
  • Establish 1-2 sustainable partnerships to raise $2,000+ for upcoming events and initiatives, supporting sustainability-driven competitions and workshops.

  • Secure 2+ internship or job opportunities for members in green careers, sustainable finance & ESG roles.

  • Build upon existing relationships and expand our network to 5+ partnerships, strengthening connections that provide students with green job opportunities.

FY'25 Highlights
  • $6,300+ invested in sustainability-focused competitions and workshops.

  • 10+ club alumni pursued careers in sustainability, ESG, or responsible investing.

  • Built partnerships with Laurier's Sustainability Office, Reep Green Solutions, and ReGeneration, to connect students with green job opportunities.

SDG 17: Partnerships For
               The Goals

We believe that collaboration is the key to creating real impact. That’s why we work alongside businesses, universities, and non-profits to drive innovation in sustainable business practices. Through strategic partnerships, we amplify our reach and empower more students to take action.

2026 Targets
  • Expand our corporate partnerships with leading sustainability-focused firms.

  • Partner with student organizations to co-host sustainability events, integrating sustainability into their initiatives.

  • Work with 2+ local businesses to implement sustainable business solutions.

FY'25 Highlights
  • Hosted a joint-event with StartUp Laurier to co-host the "Entrepreneurship Meets Environment" sustainability speaker series.

  • Partnered with Laurier’s Sustainability Office and the “Hawk Fund” to offer students up to $30,000 annually in funding and research opportunities to implement their own sustainable initiatives on campus.

  • Collaborated with local businesses and organizations, including Terra Cotta Cookies and Reep Green Solutions, raising $500+ to support community and sustainability initiatives in Waterloo.
